Mr. Michael H. Brauser has served on our Board of Directors since June 2015. Mr. Brauser has been the manager of, and an investor with, Marlin Capital Partners, LLC (“Marlin Capital”), a private investment company, since 2003. From 1999 to 2002, he served as president and chief executive officer of Naviant, Inc. (eDirect, Inc.), an internet marketing company. He also was a founder of Seisint, Inc. (eData.com, Inc.). Mr. Brauser served as co-chairman of the board of directors of InterCLICK (now a part of Yahoo Inc. (NASDAQ: YHOO)), from August 2007 to December 2011. Mr. Brauser also served as co-chairman of the board of directors of Chromodex, Inc., an innovative natural products company, from October 2011 to February 2015.
Dr. Phillip Frost, 78, has served as chairman of the board and chief executive officer of OPKO Health, Inc., a multi-national biopharmaceutical and diagnostics company since March 2007. Dr. Frost has served as chairman of the board of directors of Ladenburg Thalmann Financial Services Inc. (“Ladenburg”), an investment banking, asset management, and securities brokerage firm, in July 2006 and served as a director of Ladenburg from 2001 through 2002 and beginning again in 2004. Since October 2008, Dr. Frost has served as a director of Castle Brands Inc. and previously served as a director of Castle Brands from September 2005 to August 2007. Dr. Frost also serves as director for CoCrystal Pharma, Inc., a biotechnology company, and Sevion Therapeutics, Inc. (formerly Senesco Technologies, Inc.), a clinical-stage biotech company specializing in cancer therapeutics. He also serves as chairman of Temple Emanu-El, as a member of the Florida Council of 100 and as a trustee for each of the University of Miami, the Miami Jewish Home for the Aged and the Mount Sinai Medical Center.
From 1972 to 1990, Dr. Frost was the chairman of the Department of Dermatology at Mt. Sinai Medical Center of Greater Miami, Miami Beach, Florida. Dr. Frost served as a director of Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. from January 2006, when Teva acquired IVAX Corporation, until February 2015 and served as chairman of the board of directors of Teva from March 2010 until December 2014 and as vice chairman from January 2006 until March 2010.
Dr. Frost was chairman of the board of directors of Key Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from 1972 until its acquisition by Schering Plough Corporation in 1986 and served as chairman of the board of directors and chief executive officer of IVAX from 1987 to January 2006. Dr. Frost previously served as a director of Northrop Grumman Corp., Continucare Corp. (until its merger with Metropolitan Health Networks, Inc.), PROLOR Biotech, Inc. (until it was acquired by OPKO Health, Inc.), Ideation Acquisition Corp. (now Cogint, Inc.) and TransEnterix, Inc., and as governor and co-vice-chairman of the American Stock Exchange (now NYSE MKT).
Mr. Steven D. Rubin has served as a member of the Board of Directors since SearchMedia’s merger with Ideation Acquisition Corp. in October 2009 and after SearchMedia changed its name to Tiger Media on December 14, 2013. Mr. Rubin served as the Secretary of Ideation from June 2007 to October 2009. Mr. Rubin has served as Executive Vice President-Administration and as a director of Opko Health, Inc. since March 2007. He is also a member of The Frost Group. Mr. Rubin served as the Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of IVAX Corporation from August 2001 until September 2006. Before joining IVAX, from January 2000 to August 2001, Mr. Rubin served as the Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of privately-held Telergy, Inc., a provider of business telecommunications and diverse optical network solutions. He was with the Miami law firm of Stearns Weaver Miller Weissler Alhadeff & Sitterson from 1986 until 2000, in the Corporate and Securities Department. Mr. Rubin was a shareholder of that firm from 1991 until 2000 and a director from 1998 until 2000. Mr. Rubin currently serves on the board of directors of Dreams, Inc., a vertically-integrated sports products company, PROLOR Biotech, Inc., a development stage biopharmaceutical company, SafeStitch Medical, Inc., a medical device company, Kidville, Inc., which operates upscale learning and play facilities children, Non-Invasive Monitoring Systems, Inc., a medical device company, Cardo Medical, Inc., a producer and distributor of orthopedic and spinal medical devices, Neovasc, Inc., a company developing and marketing medical specialty vascular devices, and Castle Brands, Inc., a NYSE Amex-listed developer and marketer of premium brand spirits. Mr. Rubin holds a B.A. in Economics from Tulane University and a J.D. from the University of Florida.
For the last 15 years, Mr. Dubner worked closely with the late Hank Asher, the creator of market leaders Seisint and TLO and often referred to as “the father of data fusion”. Most recently, Mr. Dubner served as general counsel of TLO from inception through the sale of substantially all of the assets of TLO to TransUnion in December of 2013. Prior roles include vice president and associate group counsel at Equifax, general counsel and chief compliance officer at Naviant (acquired by Equifax), and corporate counsel at Seisint (acquired by Reed Elsevier’s LexisNexis). Mr. Dubner holds a B.S. in Economics/Finance from Pennsylvania State University and a J.D. from Florida State University.
Mr. Ryan Schulke, 32, was a co-founder of Fluent, in 2010 and has served as Chairman and CEO of Fluent since its inception. Before merging with cogint, Fluent was privately held and is a leader in people-based digital marketing and customer acquisition. Prior to founding Fluent, Mr. Schulke served as Media Director of Clash Media, a global digital advertising network.
Mr. Robert Fried has served as Co-Chairman of the Board of Directors since SearchMedia’s merger with Ideation Acquisition Corp. in October 2009 and after SearchMedia changed its name to Tiger Media on December 14, 2013. Mr. Fried served as the President and Chief Executive Officer and a member of the board of directors of Ideation from November 2007 to October 2009. Mr. Fried is a digital media entrepreneur and accomplished film producer. Since 1990, Mr. Fried has served as President of Fried Films, a motion picture production company he founded in 1990. Mr. Fried has produced or served as executive producer for 15 films, including “Rudy,” “The Boondock Saints,” “Man of the Year” and “Collateral.” Mr. Fried won an Academy Award for the Live Action Short Film “Session Man.” Mr. Fried has founded several digital media companies including Spirit EMX, parent of spiritclips.com, a popular internet-based inspirational content company for which Mr. Fried presently serves as CEO; and WhatsHotNow.com, for which Mr. Fried served as Chief Executive Officer from July 1999 until June 2001. From December 1994 until June 1996, Mr. Fried was President and Chief Executive Officer of Savoy Pictures, a unit of Savoy Pictures Entertainment, Inc. Savoy Pictures Entertainment was sold to Silver King Communications, which is now a part of InterActive Corp, in 1996. From 1983 to 1990, Mr. Fried held several executive positions including Executive Vice President in charge of Production for Columbia Pictures, Director of Film Finance and Special Projects for Columbia Pictures and Director of Business Development at Twentieth Century Fox. Mr. Fried holds an M.S. from Cornell University and an M.B.A. from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business.
Mr. Peter Benz has served on our Board of Directors since June 2015. Mr. Benz is the Chief Executive Officer of Viking Asset Management, LLC, an asset and investment management company which he founded in 2001. Since January 2012, Mr. Benz has served as a director of Starboard Resources, Inc., an onshore oil and natural gas exploration and production company. Mr. Benz has also served as a director of Usell.com, a technology based online market place, since October 2014 and as a director and Chairman of the Board of Optex Systems, Inc., a manufacturer of optical systems for the defense industry since November 2014.
Mr. Robert Swayman has served on our Board of Directors since June 2015. From 1998-2014, Mr. Swayman served as President and CEO of National Alarm Systems, Inc., a company he founded in 1998, prior to its sale in January 2014. From January 2014 through February 2015, Mr. Swayman served as General Manager of ASG Security, which acquired National Alarm Systems. Mr. Swayman is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a B.S. degree in accounting from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
Mr. Donald Mathis is currently the GM of Growth at Comcast NBCUniversal, where he is responsible for establishing new ventures and initiatives that broaden the company’s offerings, penetrate new markets, and facilitate enterprise transformation. He joined Comcast NBCUniversal in July 2017. Mr. Mathis is also Chairman of Echelon AI (“Echelon”), a NY-based privately held Artificial Intelligence start-up focused on business process automation, predictive data analytics and nextgen digital and cyber security. Mr. Mathis joined Echelon in April 2017. He is also an Operating Partner with Periscope Equity, a Chicago-based growth private equity fund, which he joined in January 2017. In addition, from April 2016 through June 2017, Mr. Mathis served as a Senior Adviser and Director of the initiative for Digital Counterterrorism (iDCT), a public-private consortium and non-governmental organization focused on countering violent extremism and terrorist recruitment in the digital domain. Mr. Mathis has served since 2013 on the Board of Advisers of Omniangle Technologies, a privately held company involved in business intelligence and information security. Previously, Mr. Mathis served as the Chief Executive Officer of privately held Kinetic Social from October 2011 through April 2016. Mr. Mathis was a co-founder of Kinetic Social, a SaaS and managed service social data and technology company acquired by Blue Chip Venture Company. From 2007 to 2011, Mr. Mathis served as Executive Chairman and Director of Online Intelligence, a privately held digital security firm specializing in brand protection and traffic integrity services. Mr. Mathis was on the audit and compensation committees of Online Intelligence until its acquisition by FAS Labs, Inc. in May 2010, and remained Executive Chairman until November 2011. Mr. Mathis has an MBA from the Harvard Business School and is a Commander in the U.S. Navy (currently inactive reserve).
